We believe in coaching everyone as an individual. Our clients all have different goals, fitness backgrounds, mobility issues and eating preferences. For this reason our 1-1 personal training service at The Foundry is completely bespoke to each client. With this approach you have the best chance of achieving results with a tailored training program and a nutrition plan that is sustainable for your goals and lifestyle.


Our training programs begin with an assessment looking at fitness, posture, mobility issues and lifestyle/nutrition habits. This way we can give you the best possible plan to go about achieving your goals whatever they may be.


We are results driven so we track our client’s progress regularly by taking body composition measurements and monitoring increases in performance. We believe attaining the physique and fitness levels you desire is the result of making small sustainable changes to your lifestyle and incremental gains in the gym. You will receive practical, realistic nutritional advice and support in line with your goals, cutting through the deluge of confusing messages and pseudo-science. From everyday recipes to our exclusive guide to local eateries we will help ensure you don’t undo your efforts in the gym.


Personal Training Price List


1 session per week – £280 per month (£70 per session)


2 sessions per week – £540 per month (£67.50 per session)


3 sessions per week – £780 per month (£65 per session)

Meet the Trainers


Dave Thomas



Dave is the original founder and personal trainer at The Foundry. Uninspired by both the ‘impersonal’ business model of personal training within many chain gyms and the exclusivity and branding of the ‘celebrity trainer’ in London, Dave decided to set up a performance and personal training company to enable everyday people to achieve their health and fitness goals. Dave has over a decade of experience with a diverse range of clients.  Before becoming a PT Dave enjoyed a successful rugby career representing school, county, region and various clubs around the world and university.


Liz Barker



Liz is a Director and Co-Owner of City Strongman and The Foundry. Liz has a broad range of experience, over 15 years in the industry. As well as a Personal Trainer.  Liz is also a Pilates Instructor and Certified CrossFit coach having worked in several London CrossFit boxes. Liz gets a real kick out of her clients effecting real lifestyle changes when they work with her. She’s a bit of an adrenaline junkie, she boxes competitively, snowboards and kite surfs in her spare time!


Ben Gotting



Director and Co-Owner of City Strongman and The Foundry. Ben is a Former professional sportsman, he spent 10 years at the top flight of British rugby, winning both European and domestic trophies with London Wasps. Ben brings a fun approach to his training sessions and as a BioSignature practitioner Ben can help with diet and supplementation for fast but long lasting results.
